Synopsis
During World War II, a group of young women risk their lives flying aircraft for the United States Military in a program called the WASP. However,
when the program comes to an abrupt end, the women are sent home with no official recognition.
As the women build their lives as wives, mothers, and grandmothers, they slowly realize that the WASPs are being completely overlooked. They begin a decades-long fight for veteran status and burial rights. But time continues to create debates about what it means to be a U.S. Veteran and what it truly means to be remembered.
About the Writer — Alaina Tennant
Alaina Tennant is a playwright from Akron, Ohio, who specializes in work based on history and research. She is a BFA Playwright at Ohio University and an Alumna of The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center’s National Theatre Institute. Recent awards include the ACTF Region V Julie Jense Playwriting Award (2026), Bela Kiralyfalvi Student Playwriting Award (2025), and International Thespian Excellence Award for Playwriting (2025) In addition to writing, Alaina is a museum studies student who greatly values her time spent volunteering with local archives and military history museums.
